Unity3D SDK

Unity3D SDK

Here's an overview of how to incorporate the appMixable SDK into your Unity3D project.

Donwload the SDK zip

Download the SDK and install it into a new or current Unity3D project.

Mark Properties as Remixable

Choose the parts of your scene hierarchy to be remixed, whether by yourself, others, or both.

Submit the Remixable Object

Use our Unity3D Editor tools to make a remix targeting this object.

Load & Test

Load the remix into your Unity3D runtime, simulator, or device for testing.

Install the Unity3D SDK

Download the SDK and install it into a new or current Unity3D project. Be sure to enter your app's appMixable keys into the project's appMixable prefab in your scene hierarchy.

Note: since the appMixable service is in closed beta, access to the Unity3D SDK is currently by invite only.

Create a Remix object

With your Unity3D project open:

  • Select the GameObject you want to remix in the Hierarchy Window
  • Choose from the Unity Editor menu:
Tools > AppMixable > Create Mixlet From Prefab
and the Mixlet Window will appear
  • Give your new Mixlet a name and a category of your choosing. Categories help to keep your Mixlets organized.
  • Decide which properties you'd like to be available for remixing.
  • Click the "Create Mixlet" button

After you've designed your Mixlets, bind them together with our Remix Creator:

  • Choose from the Unity Editor menu:
Tools > AppMixable > Create Remix from Mixlets
and the Remix Window will appear
  • Give your new Remix a name and a category of your choosing. Categories help to keep your Remixes organized as well.
  • Decide which Mixlets you'd like to be include in this Remix, and its privacy level
  • Click the "Create Remix" button

Load your Remix and Test

The Unity3D SDK comes equipped with a Deeplink Simulator, which can load a selected remix while your app is running in Editor Mode, just as if an app's user had clicked the deeplink before entering the app.

With your Unity3D project open:

  • Choose from the Unity Editor menu:
Tools > AppMixable > Deeplink Simulator
and the Deeplink Simulator Window will appear
  • Press Play in the Editor
  • In the Deeplink Simulator Window, choose a Remix Category from the dropdown menu and Click the "Refresh" button.
  • Choose a Remix to load from the resulting list of available Remixes.
  • Test the behavior of the loaded Remix

That's it! Now repeat for as many objects as you'd like to be remixable.
